grover
Hi, I see there are some helos in the screenshots and I read Cat's review of the Russian version of the game at SimHQ, but I was wondering if anyone knew how air power affects the game? I havent really played a tank sim before and wouldnt consider myself learned in the field of tank tactics and operations, but I have played a lot of helo sims and have learnt that tanks and helos. This sim looks quite exciting.

Moon
Hub is correct, there is an Mi-8 in the game. It carries rockets and can be used to haul infantry troops around (you can script the AI to pick them up and drop them off). It is quite vulnerable to MG fire from your AA-MG's if spotted early on, but can be lethal if it surprises you (like in this one mission... ah well, you'll see). The AI is doing a fairly decent job of keeping it out of sight and low over ground in most cases. Martin

snakeeyes
There can't be any Hinds in the game or EVERYTHING would be smeared! [ June 28, 2005, 04:11 PM: Message edited by: snakeeyes ]
grover
Im just glad there will be an element of danger from the skies. I wouldnt expect too much without suitable ground vehicles that could provide air cover, but I hope thats possible one day.
