Blashy
I agree with you SM, simply because it is the logical approach to how it was historically (Army being about 3 times the power of a Corps).
Scook
I like that too, 200 mpp for 3X the power. The power....I can feel it.........
Ottosmops
Isn't it somehow illogical, that the upgrade cost is based on the initial cost of the units, while the benefit is the same for corps and armies? One IW upgrade point costs 10 mpp's for a corps and 20 for an army. But their increase in firepower (i.e. the increase for the expected loss for their opponent in combat) is the same, according to the formulas in the manual. What is the reason behind this? Blashy
I know, this is something that has bothered me for soft attack and defense for corps, armies, paratroops and engineers. IMO, since they give the same benefit of equal value, the cost should be the same. In actually, the value for corps is better. Say a SA 1 for Corps vs. a SA 3 for Armies, that is 3 times better to start. Both get IW1, that is SA2 Corps to SA4 Army, now it is only twice better, another level and it goes down more. At maximum a Corps is SA4, Army SA6, only 50% more powerfull, while initially it was 3 times more powerfull.
