vveedd
Will be any effects on units to simulate element of surprise? For instance – on USSR units in first days of Barbarossa? P.s. And I mean in original scenarios. I DON’T CARE about editor.
Slapaho
I thought this was simulated by DoW 1st move anihalation of Russian border armies? 3/4 of the Russian army is killed/surrounded in this 1st turn, which is pretty much the surprise. I agree. This will be the same in SC2?
Edwin P.
I recall that each player will have the opportunity to position his initial Russian units within specific limits and the placement of these units, along with the actions of the German player, will determine how soon Russia mobilizes for war. SeaMonkey
vveed we have discussed this before. It seems there will still be surprise contact and perhaps certain scripted events would allow units a "surprise" combat bonus on first turn attacks or maybe tied to intellgence tech level.
