Bromley
Does this still happen in 1.04? I've just lost Egypt for the first time playing a 1.02 PBEM and I didn't expect all my southern Commonwealth troops to give up (especially as most of them were on transports for good old Blighty at the time). Gorgin
The Commonwealth units that arrive to reinforce the Allies in Egypt are "attached" to Egypt, not to the UK. Thus, when Egypt is surrendered, they do too.
Bromley
Is that still the case in 1.04? If so, it seems like another argument for a British Empire with multiple capitals (probably just in the UK and Canada) rather than a separate Commonwealth. In my 1.04 games, there is still a Commonwealth HQ and corps after the UK surrenders. Even after I take both Egyptian cities. I am not sure what nationality they are. I just operate two italian troops to the Egyptian cities and forget about the two allied units, they don't go anywhere.
