Edwin P.
Can Operate units be disabled in the Editor. For example if I want to build a campaign based on Ancient Rome or the Napoleonic Wars and don't want to allow units to operate. Of course, I could always make it very, very expensive to operate units using the editor. Correct?
KDG
Bump I'd like to know if you can edit the operating expense of units. Can you also have a set cost for the 1st unit, then increase for each later unit.
pzgndr
Hopefully we'll be able to set country limits for how many op moves a country has each turn, like the SR limit in 3R. This is a number something like infrastructure research could increase, as well as reduce op move costs. Assuming we can set limits, then setting op moves to 0 would work well in any pre-RR game variant.
zappsweden
I TOTALLY agree. I posted about operating units some months ago too. The especially bad case is when Axis can attack Russia with FULL blow and when Allies are in boats approaching French Coast, whooops 10 Axis units operate west. Operating is a too powerful way of keeping units everywhere anytime. Solution (can be combined) 1) Increased cost for operating and transports 2) Make a limit in DISTANCE (20 hexes?) 3) Make a limit in total operating units (3 units per turn for Axis?) sonnenwalde
I agree, there should be a limit on the nmuber of units that can be operated. This should be linked to a countries resources infrastructure and infrastructure.
