gravyface1
Just noticed that the tactical bombers enjoy the increased hard attack from anti-tank upgrades, but nothing for fighters or artillery. Is this a "balance thing" i.e. keep the other units attack values in check, or an oversight?
Timskorn
It seems fighters have been relegated to a specific role, that of interceptor, so it makes sense to separate that ability. Forces you to get two different types of aircraft. I don't imagine there was any "upgrade" for artillery that was specific to destroying tanks, was there? Even so, I think that is a similar case of separation of duties...which is why we have an AT unit now.
pzgndr
Yeah, there is a much better rock-paper-scissors effect now. Players need a broader mix of unit types and research upgrades to succeed. Note that tac bombers can also have naval warfare upgrades, so specific units can be either land attack or naval attack, or both. There is are new game dynamics for fighters-tac bombers-strategic bombers and for tanks-infantry-artillery that players need to consider new strategies for. SeaMonkey
Amen Bill! This is like an old familiar girlfriend that has somehow become more appealing, like a whole new attitude and body, the same, but way different.
