[ANN] Combat Ranger Brings A Live Community Forum to Combat Mission™ Players!

Recommended Posts

The developers of Combat Ranger -- the live online community for Combat Mission™ -- are pleased to announce that Combat Ranger is nearing completion! Combat Ranger brings a fully cross-platform, live chat and interactive community to PC and Mac players of Big Time Software's award-winning WWII tactical combat game, Combat Mission.

Combat Ranger will provide a 24/7 online chat forum for players to meet and easily arrange two-player TCP/IP or PBEM games in realtime; give players the ability to email their PBEM files from within the Combat Ranger environment; chat about Combat Mission and the upcoming Combat Mission II; and provide an extensive and continually updated list of where to find scenarios, mods, and news about their favourite WWII tactical combat game.

The internal development and testing are almost complete, and a public beta test of Combat Ranger will be announced shortly. Combat Ranger is being developed using Runtime Revolution.

Combat Ranger is fully cross-platform and will be available for PC and Macs (including OSX) later this summer. Combat Ranger will be available for only US$5 as shareware. For more information, FAQ, development history, feature list, and Combat Ranger screenshots visit our website at http://homepage.mac.com/combatranger.

Additionally, we would like to list as many websites as possible in the client (where players can find scenarios, mods, and news) and would love to have forum members submit their website links to us! Email your site's name, URL, and a 50 word description to the email below!

Sounds good but before I pay any thing for a chatroom that we had for free at Yahoo a while back...

Can you play TCP/IP games from the application? I'm talking something more then be able to chat and say: "Ya my IP is this connect now".

This could really be great though.
