Stumpff
Ok whenever I try to load a map or pretty much do anything I get an "Unhandled Exception" error. I looked on the site to find the solution, found one, downloaded directx 9.0b....did NOT fix the problem...
Schrullenhaft
What are the details of your 'unhandled exception' (the program causing the crash and specific error address) ? Which Windows version are you running ? What videocard do you have and what drivers do you have installed for it ? Which game is this with, CMBO, CMBB or CMAK and is this the BTS/BFC (internet) version or the CDV (retail) version ?
Stumpff
ok well that problem just sort of stopped happening..but now everytime I save something, when I go to load it it says there are 0 turns the map size is tiny there is no description and the same sides are fighting each other (i.e. US against US) what the hell?
Schrullenhaft
That sounds like your file has somehow got corrupted, but that will usually result in an 'error ding' sound in Windows. You may want to perform some sort of file system check ('scandisk') and make sure that your system is cleaned up. I'd suggest shutting down as many programs and utilities as possible while running CM, including anti-virus programs. It's also slightly possible that you have a hardware memory problem. This is usually harder to resolve without extra, compatible memory on hand to swap in and out of your computer.
