met66
I've had this problem before. I just reloaded the game after a few months and forgot how to remedy it. I run a Voodoo5500agp in Win98SE. I am unable to read the text in battles because its white on white..or yellow on white. There was a quick and easy fix that someone provided last time. Can someone help again? thanks mark

Schrullenhaft
I think that the quickest solution was to select 'single chip' mode from the Voodoo control panel (which may be located in the Display control panel - depending on what 3dfx software you have loaded up). You'll also want to avoid switching out of CM and coming back since that will corrupt the screen with the Voodoo cards (though single chip mode may help with this). I can't recall if the latest drivers helped with this (1.08.04).
met66
Yep. That did it. I'd tried "fastest performance"..but that didnt work. I then, after your advice, tried "single chip" but accidentally changed it only under Open GL and not DirectX. I was bummed when the problem was still there..until I realized and went back to change. Phew! Thats a relief. Now I can get back to playing...after re-adding all of my mods. Thanks mark
