Holman
Yet another query from a new WinXP owner... I recently set DPI (Dots Per Inch, found under Display Properties/Advanced/General) to "large," which increases DPI from 90 to 120. To my untrained eye, this *seems* to sharpen up my graphics in CMBB a little bit. Am I fooling myself? In other words, does the DPI setting help (or hurt?) graphics under OpenGL/Direct 3D, or does it only affect non-3D desktop applications? Also, is there a performance hit involved in setting DPI higher? Thanks, y'all.
Schrullenhaft
I'm under the impression that this only affects the 2D text in WinXP and not the display graphics. DPI for onscreen graphics depends on the resolution that you're running at and your monitor's display area. Thus the 'DPI setting' shouldn't affect any OpenGL/DirectX games to my knowledge.
