Mark f
Hey, Has anyone had problem with either cmbo or cmbb freezing when the speed of the proccessor is to high? I reduced the speed of the proccessor, in BIOS, and found that the games worked fine even with the debtantor drivers installed. I have an Athalon 2000xp processor and a g-force 4 graphics card. Cheers, Markf
Schrullenhaft
I don't think that there is any 'inherent' problem with faster CPUs and CM. Are you 'overclocking' your CPU ? If so, then the load that CM puts on the CPU may be too much for an overclocked CPU to handle reliably. Also realize that an overclocked CPU is going to be hotter and your cooling solution may not be strong enough to handle an overclocked CPU running at 100% utilization.
Gaylord Focker
How to keep your cpu cool, and over clock Also check the wiring job, you'll want to make sure that you have nice air flow paths, neaten up the wires as much as possible, that alone can drop the temperature considerably depending on how much of a mess of wires is in your pc tower.
Hpt. Lisse
I think it's our damn GeF4 video cards that are causing the problem. Shoulda never dumped that Voodoo 5500, I tell ya... What driver are you using? Apparently, nothing above the 30.87 driver is worth beans for CMBB...
