von Lucke
Yes, I know the Finns signed an armistice with the Soviets in Sept 44. The Germans however, did not. From Sept - Nov 44 the 20th Mountain Army conducted a withdrawl (Operation Birch) back to Norway --- otherwise known as the Lapland War. And while CMBB does not have the Finns switch sides (like the Rumanians) to fight the Germans, there was a Soviet element (both Marines and a Mechanized Corps) that conducted several operations along the northern coast of Finland in an attempt to cut off the retreating Germans. Neither the QB generator, nor the editor, will allow me to set a battle in Finland after Aug 44. The game will let me set the parameters all right, but when I go to play the particular scenario, the date has been re-set back to Aug 44.
Keke
Yup, one cannot make scenarios out of FE Petsamo-Kirkenes operation Soviets conducted in October 1944 with these restrictions.

MrSpkr
I just tried it. You can manually set the date for some time after August 1944, but as soon as you leave the parameters screen, the date resets to August 1944. Steve
