Deadly Dave
This does surprise me! I opened a PBEM file on a movie only turn- I clicked on my Hellcat before the movie starts and it tells me in the kill info Ive taken out a gun, and a few infantry, It also tells me ive taken out a Panther G and a hetzer, Thats odd I thought?http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/confused.gif I played the file and in that turn I took out the panther on the 22 second point and the hetzer on the 55 second point, is that right? I thought the info only appeared after the turn finished or at the least as it happened , but not before it happened???http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/confused.gif
Brightblade
That´s true. A unit´s kill list is updated by the computer as soon as it has computed the movie clip. The clip only visualizes what the computer made of both sides´ order phases. Your unit's state has already changed, the outcome is a fait accompli. The movie just lets you see how your unit arrived at it's current, end-of-turn state. It's not foreknowledge, it's old news. Why the confusion? [ September 24, 2002, 11:37 PM: Message edited by: Herr Oberst ]
