Cameroon Posted October 1, 2002 Share Posted October 1, 2002 Re: the cover arc. The only thing it is used for in this situation (mortars out of LOS, HQs spotting) is to keep the HQ from firing. So give it like a 1m cover arc. With EFOW (and probably even FOW, though less so), your HQ will thus not be spotted (because he isn't firing). Danzig Posted October 2, 2002 Share Posted October 2, 2002 Never saw this in CMBO: I was playing the Blitz Op(great Op btw, best I've played yet on CM engine...sooo much fun)and I had a platoon set up in some trees, the HQ out front doing some spotting. During the movie turn I watched as my mortar starting firing off shots without being given a target. When I selected him, there was an orange line to the HQ, and the HQ showed a black line to the target, following it while the mortar team was currently bombarding it! That is sweet, sweet stuff.
