How do you take a screen shot?

On Windows/PC machines, hit PRINT SCRN. Then get out of CM, go to PAINT or whatever program you use, and hit PASTE in the Edit menu or by right clicking.

Voila.

Let us know how it works out.

Mac = shift + cmd + 3 for the whole screen or shift + cmd + 4 for a selection marquee

Files get sent to the boot drive's base directory as Picture 1, Picture 2 etc.

If you plan on making any career out of screen shots on the Mac then SnapzPro is worth a look, as it lets you save actual movie files from the action in CM

Just to elaborate a little on Michaels post;

On a windows PC Press "print screen", then minimise CM (Press "Escape") and open "Paint" Then press "Control V" or right click in the window and click paste.

The picture will appear. But beware before sending via e-mail, "Paint" will save the image as a BMP file which will be approx 2 to 3mb in size, so you may need to save it as a Jpeg file instead.

Just to amplify one of CDIC's points - on slower machines like I used to have, hitting ESC while in the gameplay screen would crash CM. It works great now that I have a 1.6 Gig processor, but on my old 500 machine you had to exit to the main menu before hitting ESC.
