Great Encirclement Battles or Portions...Any out there??

This may date me, but years ago, I used to play Panzergrupe Guderian, a divisional level game that I thought was, in its way, incredibly realistic in how it "expressed" itself in the great battles of encirclement in the early war.

Of course, these enormous kessels are easier to represent at a divisional/corps/army level, than on the level of company/battalion that is the mise en scene of CMBB.

Yet I would love to see something in CMBB that somehow gets that unique feeling of setting up a pincer movement, closing the door, and digesting the contents inside.

So, anything out there now...or on the horizon that mimics this experience??

I have an assault/defend quickbatle map that portrays a surrounded battle-group being liquidated. Go to Scenario Depot and find the CMBB map called "The Ravine."

I did a battle called B&T Green Hell which depicts efforts to close the Volkhov pocket.

Try playing the "Blitzkrieg" operation as the Germans against the AI. I found that by battle #2 I had a mini-pocket battle that played out exactly as I read in the history books. I.e. - making thepocket was relatively easy, crushing it against bitter resistance was something else,

Try out Breakout...Minsk, 41 at the scenario depot. A Russian force attempting a breakout from a Kessel near Minsk. It is a good two player scenario.
