Tigrii
There's this light russian 76.2mm howitzer which is PERFECT for infantry attacks. It is cheap, has an ammo load of about 60, has a blast of 49, and best of all, it is as fast as a mortar! This is pretty much the only unit that can take out bunkers and PB's in infantry battles without close assualt.
Renaud
yea that's the 76mm regimental gun right? It's cheap and effective. Can kill lots of different Axis light armor too.
Silvio Manuel
It's fun to buy them in fours, and probably pretty historical b/c IIRC the Sovs liked arty in direct fire, prolly due to their crappy C-and-C system.
Stalin's Organ
They came in batteries of 4 at REGIMENTAL level - that's 4 for 3 battalions of infantry. The occasional one on the battlefield is probably OK, but using 4 of themon a regular basis isn't going to win you any friends among the historical grogs!! Hans
The question would be, would they deploy them individual or as a battery? I would suggest that they would be deployed either way depending on the commanders prerogative. Any world war II Soviet doctrine grogs out there? Wol
They deployed them in batteries, and at the start of the war you get 6. And they are principally a DF weapon.
Steel Rain
Hmmm, I have not found any guns that are fast as a morter. All of them rate at very slow. What year does this beast arrive? Kevin;
