I've tried a number of times on a 56k modem, and get to around the 16.5Mb point when I get a popup window telling me that the download is complete. Of course it doesn't install properly if I try to run the patch. I've tried deleting temporary internet files (explorer 5.5) and increasing my cache size, but that was about 500mB anyway. These will allow you to 'continue' a disconnected download session without starting over from scratch. You may also want to try a dedicated FTP program such as SmartFTP. I don't know that actual cause of your problem. Changing the browser's cache size should make no difference for such downloads to my knowledge. I believe some of the 'download limitations' of Explorer applied to versions earlier than 5.5.
