taiwanpipey
I have tried the demo after booting from OS9, but I get the wacky purple and pink distorted graphics on my G4 Powerbook (1 Ghz, 133Mhz bus, 512 RAM, OSX purchased last summer). I don't know what card I have, other than ATI. System Profiler provides the following cryptic info: built-in AGP Card Type ATY,DDParent Card Name ATY,XiaParent Card Model ATY,RV250M9 other cryptic info, inc. 64 Meg What is this card and is this one of the ones that has a fix? Gee, and I thought Windows was obscure . . .
Schrullenhaft
The G4 1GHz Powerbooks have the ATI 9000 Mobility in them (the RV250 M9). Madmatt has a beta driver that you can email him to get (mentioned in this thread). The beta driver fixes the psychadelic colors, but it still has issues with alpha-blending (transparencies) being opaque. This most likely will not get fixed when the driver is finally released.
