Gyrene Posted February 14, 2002 Share Posted February 14, 2002 I was looking for some info on the M19 40mm AA vehicle and came across this page which has some nice pics of WWII tanks, some of them going by some strange names (Like the M36 Slagger and the M8 Scott??) Frankly Fritz Posted February 14, 2002 Share Posted February 14, 2002 Hey Gyrene, long time listener first time caller, Its actually a English-to-Russian-to-English translation mixup, it should say "Slugger" not "Slagger". Its very hard to have English words sound the exact same in Russian. Here is some info on the M36 Slugger Quick M36 Specs First Action of M36 From what I could understand of the Russian it sounds like this tank was in Service all the way upto 1995 in Yugoslavia, old but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a 90mm cannon! It's one of my favourite sites. They also have a very Grog-oriented forum. You don't have to read Cyrillic either.
