  1. Someone else already said that at the Battle of Kursk the Germans were outnumbered. The one crappy book I have on WWII (I'll disclose the title when I get home) said that the Germans were able to assemble 900,000 troops and 200 aircraft, I forget how many AFV's. While the Russian had 1,300,000 troops and 1600 or 2400 aircraft. Again I'll clarify once I get home.
  2. When the Mortar crew was passing the Russian infantry were they both on the same groud type? i.e. Wooded areas are slower to traverse than the steppe. [ September 05, 2002, 04:05 PM: Message edited by: Frankly Fritz ]
  3. Yes, their will be. BTS has devised a new multiplayer method also, this new method is PBTC, a.k.a Play By Tin Can. Okay, first off what you need is to have two tin cans attached by string, you then have one end attached to your machine and the other to your opponents(No, attenuation does not affect string, unlike copper wires in networking cables. The houses can be miles apart, you just need enough string. I know it's amazing!). The Tin Cans(or TC's as we shall call them) can be attached to any part of your PC, be that Monitor, Tower, Printer, etc... the technology behind this is being license out to BTS by the military and is G-13 classified so please don't ask about it as I'm obliged, as are BTS, not to disclose any such state secrets. Once they are attached(tape, glue, more string, younger sibling or children will also work) start up the game go to the multiplayer screen and wait for the connection to start(Note, that you will not see this option on the screen and will have to wait until it appears, this again is G-13 classified). You can now enjoy your CMBB experience with this new fantastic, (yet classified as it has alien origin)technology. I hoped this has helped and if you have any further questions please contact Mr. Mulder or Ms. Sculley at the Elvis devision of the FBI.
  4. Why must people always bring me into conversations, I don't even know you. Well to actually add something to this thread, as long as the game comes out they can put a Masochist Betty Boop and Fritz the Cat saying "Combat Mission: Barbie to Burly" on the cover and I wouldn't care.
  5. Here is a decent site for Russian Armor. It will help if you can read Russian or put the url through a translator. This site also has information on Russian military hardware other than WWII. Russian World War 2 Armor Site
  6. Hey Gyrene, long time listener first time caller, Its actually a English-to-Russian-to-English translation mixup, it should say "Slugger" not "Slagger". Its very hard to have English words sound the exact same in Russian. Here is some info on the M36 Slugger Quick M36 Specs First Action of M36 From what I could understand of the Russian it sounds like this tank was in Service all the way upto 1995 in Yugoslavia, old but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a 90mm cannon! Hope this helped, I'll try to translate the M8 info now.
