I don't know if this is a question for this board or the General Discussion board. I just got back from a trip to Normandy to visit all the beaches and such. Great trip..I actually stood on Omaha beach. One of the stops was the US cemetery overlooking Omaha. In addition to the graves, there is a wall with the inscribed names of soldiers who have no known grave. I noticed a lot of names from the 262nd regiment of the 66th division. I've been trying to find out what happened to this particular regiment. My guess (not educated though) are that the regiment was on a transport that got sunk in the Channel in 1944 or 1945. So, knowing how many grogs there are on the board, does anyone happen to know where on-line I might find an order history, or know themselves what happened to the regiment?
