deadeye3
Ok I have Windows XP and a GeForce3 Ti 500 card and was having difficulty with the video. I found the compatibility mode program that adjusts and now the menus for CMBO are back to normal. However, not whether I put the CD into my CD-ROM drive or my DVD drive, the game can't find it. What gives?? I miss playing CMBO! I'm having DTs! Can someone help me? Thx Deadeye3
Schrullenhaft
I'm not sure why this would be happening. Though it doesn't carry a setting for this, have you tried to delete your Prefs file ? Was everything working before you changed to 'compatiblity mode' (?) ? Can you change it back ?

Schrullenhaft
Did you attempt to patch your copy of CM ? What version was originally on your CD ? You may be attempting to run a patch that is older than what was on your CD (w/ 1.12 being the latest). I'm wouldn't think that if you patched to 1.12 and your CD had 1.12 already that it would make a difference, but in case it does I'd suggest copying the CM executable off of the CD.
deadeye3
I patched up to the lastest off of this site. My CD should still work right?
Schrullenhaft
What version was originally on your CDROM ? Again, I wouldn't imagine that there would be a difference between patching to 1.12 if your version is already 1.12 off of the CD, but you may want to check anyway. Check the Combat Mission.exe executable on your CD and see what version (matching dates and sizes). If you purchased your CD this year (after February or March ?), then there is a good chance that your CD was already 1.12. You may want to perform another installation, but to a different directory and see if this works.
