CMHQ Update-February 18

Recommended Posts

PB,

According to the DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), "Schizophrenia is a disturbance that lasts for at least 6 months and includes at least 1 month of active-phase symptoms (i.e., two [or more] of the following: delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, grossly disorganized or catatonic behavior, negative symptoms)."

So, to answer your question, aside from the ocassional hallucinations, there is no schizophrenia here. Now, Dissociative Identity Disorder is another story...

Yes, of course I sent myself an email to let me know about the update I had wanted me to post. How else could I have known what I wanted? I'm not a mind-reader, you know. :D
