Saddam_#24
I've been playing CMBO for half a year now (and operation flashpoint since as long as i can remember) and I'm a part of one of the OFP MOD teams. I was wondering if CMBO or CMBB (ordering it from amazon tomorrow) are MODable. I mean fully not just texture swapping. Basically could you make whole new units for the game with new 3D models and configuration files? If yes then where can I get info on how to do it or try to join a mod team? BeauCoupDinkyDau
No, the CM games are not moddable in that sense. You can only swap "skins."
Saddam_#24
That's a bugger. How about when the engine gets rewritten and the next installment comes out? Abyway what theatre is the next game going to be in. I vote Vietnam. I'll start the poll now...

As for the next game - probably Mediterranean (including North Africa). It's highly doubtful that it will be outside the WW2 European Theatre, as that's where their interests lie. Saddam_#24
What do you think are the chances of another company (TalonSoft maybe) being interested in their engine. And if so would CDV give them the right to use it?

I suspect BFC would be loath to licence their engine to direct competitors.
