Choosing a QB outside the games points parameter

I have no idea what untold abuse from regulars i will receive, but....a recent Pbem i played had me with 5250 points as an attacker in an assault QB, which means the defender had 4000pts, so..... after losing terribly we agreed to reverse, but can i set up a 4000pt QB......Noooooooo...3000 or 5000 so...hows it done?? :confused:

Assault is 1.75:1, so it was a 3000 pointer.

BTW, the best battles (IMHO) are 5000 pointers get to the large map and many flags, but players select only 4000 points (or even less).

Or have a neutral party set up a nice game.

But how do i choose 4000 pts???

On my setup screen it goes from 1000,1250,1500,2000,3000,5000...no 4000 or even higher than 5000...what gives why cant i have 3500 battles

You can't.

Your old game was 3000, not 4000.

And the game I talked about is a 5000-pointer selected in the Quickbattle selection, but players agree only to fill 4000 points.

You can set up a 4,000 point battle if you use a third-party battle map. Then you can set points at whatever you like. Such maps are available at the Der Kessel or Scenario Depot Web sites. Or, you can whip up your own map in the scenario editor.

If you do this and want to stick to CM:BO force ratios for attacker vs defender, they are (to the best of my recollection):

Assault: 1.75 to 1 (used to be 2 to 1)

Attack: 1.5 to 1

Recon: 1.35 to 1

Meeting Engagement: 1 to 1
