GeForce 2 MX Drivers

Recommended Posts

Many people use the NVidia Reference drivers. There are different sources to get the latest versions (which sometimes takes NVidia awhile to post on their website for download). The current driver is the Detonator 3 v. 6.31.

On occasion, however, some manufacturers cards don't work properly with the latest Reference driver. Though not many manufacturers customize the Reference driver, a couple of them do (ASUS, Elsa, Creative, etc.). If you have any special hardware features (like 3D glasses, etc.), then the latest Reference driver may not support it. Then there are occasions where the Reference driver acts flaky with some manufacturer's cards, this doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

If you have a name-brand card (like some of the manufacturers listed above) I would suggest that you get the latest driver from their website. If your "problem" continues, then you may want to try out the Reference driver from NVidia or some other video/gaming site.

Reactorcritical (they have a very complete collection of NVidia drivers - however their site has had problems recently):

VoodooExtreme (down while they redesign the site):

NVidia's website (the latest Detonator is now posted):
