deadeye3
Ok so a piece of armor takes a near by shot and becomes shocked. Why is it that after this happens it is not possible to unbutton it? What is this representing? Thx
The Codfather
I believe it means that one of your crew members, presumably the tank commander is incapacitated. If the TC is taken out, there's no one to survey the battlefield. I'm assuming that if another member of the crew was taken out that the TC would perform that role, again resulting in a buttoned tank.
deadeye3
Interesting. I have lost crew before and have been able to unbutton. Must be lazt TC's then in those tanks
The Codfather
maybe it's only if the TC gets hit then?
Matt the Paladin
I think getting hit and shocked also causes some sort of morale damage. Maybe if the TC is still alive he's to scared to unbutton the tank and stick his head back out for a while. ------------------ "War is like a cat, it is easy to let out of the bag, but hard as hell to put back in!" -Me
Mlapanzer
The reasonning for this is given on page 54 of the manual. ----- "No man ever won a war by dieing for his country he won the war by making the other poor sob die for his country" PATTON
Clubfoot
A shocked crew is, quite simply, too frightened or too intelligent to unbutton after receiving near-miss AT or tank fire. Clubfoot.
Specterx
What he means is AFTER the crew has been shocked, and when they are no longer shocked, it is still not possible to unbutton the tank. The reason for this is probably because the TC was killed and all of the other crew members have other jobs, so none of them can act as an observer.
