Falcon988
How does the computer pick who's computer calculates the turn during a TCP/IP match? My opponent's computer is much faster than mine and yet it always computes on mine. It would be much faster if it did it on his and we can't figure it out. I have 128MB ram, he has 384. His processor is 1.8ghz, and has an ati9200 card. All of which is much better than mine. How can we make it so it computes on his computer when we play, thereby making our battles go much quicker?
Schrullenhaft
It has always been my impression that some sort of code was run to determine which computer had the fastest floating point processor. At that point all calculations were to be performed on that computer for the rest of the TCP/IP session. There's no manual way to select this to my knowledge. The only thing I can suggest is to have the faster computer act as the host, in case this somehow affects the preference for the 'calculating computer'. Which CPU does your opponent have (Intel or AMD) and which one do you have (speed and CPU manufacturer) ?
