if you have a router to connect to the internet, you need to forewared a port (i have forgotten the port number, sorry. but it is in this forum somewhere) check for "foreward port".

same if you use a software firewall.

If CM is the only program having a problem, then forwarding the necessary port may be the answer. TCP Port 7023 is what needs to be forwarded to the computer that is running CM. If you're running a software firewall then CM or the above mentioned port will need to be opened up for internet communication.

I don't know anything about Verizon's DSL service, but it looks like there are a number of software interfaces/drivers at work here for your internet connection. You may need to contact Verizon support to find out if TCP Port 7023 can be used by an application on your computer with their DSL service.
