11B10
Hello all: Long time reader, first time writer. My son & I have fiercly competitive TCP/IP battles using CMAK via our local home network and I have a question: Is there a way to setup an operation where the 2 players can pick their forces and reinforcements secretly? The only thing I can figure is to "hot seat" while the other person is out of the room, but neither of us trust each other!! Any ideas?? Thanks
Sergei
Have a third party set it up for you according to "shopping lists" from both.
imported_Iron_Duke
Yeap, I used to do that alot when I ran the "Asskicker of the Month" tourny's for CMBO. What you do is pick the map you want, then each of you pick your forces, then each of you send the file to a third party that will "purchase" the units you each want. Kind of time comsuming and run-a-round but it solves your problem.
imported_Iron_Duke
I'll act as your third party if you'd like since I don't know either of you and I don't mind.
willbell
11B10, You are a very lucky man! I would love to play my daughter, but I'm afraid of getting beat by a player that can't reach the keyboard yet. Will
11B10
Thank you all for your suggestions, I appreciate it! I guess I was right in assuming that there is no way to do this other than through a 3rd "impartial" person. Hey, I guess I have a suggestion for the new CMX2 engine: allow multiplayer TCP/IP operations using a similiar procedure as used in quick battles...
