Gpig
1st Battalion (Waters), 1st armoured regiment. Tunisia, Thanksgiving, 1942. This was the first armoured battle between U.S. and German panzers. Looks like a perfect CM sized battle. Does anybody know if the T30 75mm HMC is represented in Combat Mission? Thanks, Gpig
The_Enigma
Yea the T30 is in game And here is that scenario.... The Dead Salute the Gods "Lt. Col. John Waters, commander of the 1st Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division kicks off the very first tank battle of WWII between German and US forces." Its by Iron Duke And another great one by him: Tebourba Engagement After the debacle at the Chouigui pass that cost the 10th Panzer over 20 Mk IV's to include 8 of the new long barreled versions, command of the division was handed over to Major General Wolfgang Fischer who had been training in France. Taking the hard lessons learned from the Russian front, Fischer wasted no time in attacking Chouigui and routing the American Armored Battalion situated there. Now only a few miles of desert seperated him from Tebourba and the eventual recapture of Medjez-el-Bab. GreenAsJade
I agree the Tebourba is a good scenario (except for one tiny mistake: it's raining and the ground is set to dry!!) TDSTG is not too bad, kinda run of the mill. Tebourba is excellent: very clever map with many choices. GaJ
Gpig
Thanks, guys. I've just read up on the first battle, as well as the Medjez valley/Tebourba battles. After reading the scenario discussion at the Scenario Depot, it seems that CM version of the battle differs from the historical account. Mainly number of tanks KO'd. But I'd like to have a look at it. What better way than to download it and give it a whirl, eh? Gpig
