Cambronne
Is the AI opponent capable of mounting the infantrymen into the trucks/tanks in order to travel a good deal of distance on large maps operations? And,of course to dismount them when they reach the fire line? Another point:how is the air power in CMAK after the great disillusion of previous games?Still random hammering both yours and enemy troops? Thanks in advance!
birdstrike
No and Yes. AI will never use transports to move infantry or guns. A scenario designer can put troops into transports, however, AI Troops riding on AFVs or in APCs will stay there until being shot (then dismount) at or the vehicle is destroyed. There is always a certain chance that CAS does hit your own troops (though I wouldn't call it totally random), but you can reduce the risks of friendly fire by using CAS with higher experience (veteran+).
Evzone
It's got to be the worst way to go, friendly fire. But my understanding is that it happened a lot. And not just a strafe or a single bomb but sustained attacks against their own positions, resulting in many casualties. In CM, all one can do -apart from, as birdstrike suggests, use units with high experience- is stay in cover and keep your fingers crossed.
