Italian Paratroop SMG Squad

Do you have notice that Italian SMG squad have more ammo (54 points) than any other SMG squad in CMBB/CMAK games (25 points)?

Is there a reason for that?

Otherwise, since these units are very convenient to simulate SMG squads for ETO scenarios, i changed date to 1945 once I get them in september 1943. But i have noticed there is a graphic bug with skin texture in CDV version!

Yes. It has been that way since version 1.0

Edit: The graphics glitch has been there since the beginning. I don't know about the ammo question.

Is it a definte bug, or is the difference in ammo somehow related to the performace of the Italian weapon when compared to the Sten or MP40?

Note that by now SMG have too much ammo... after being too low

And no it is not performance related. In CMBB , an axis or a soviet AT team with SMG have the same amount of ammo ( Whereas PPsh41 consume a lot more ammo)

I think the reason for the higher ammo rating of the Italian smg is due to its having a semi-auto fire mode. This, of course, is difficult to simulate within CM's firepower rating abstraction.

But FP rating of Beretta in the game correspond to full auto!

This is a bug in the game that should have been, but was not, fixed. They have a rifle ammo load with an SMG firepower rating.

I hate when people bring that particular infantry to games. But then again, if they limit themselves to Italian tanks and AT guns, you should still be OK.
