Guderian129
Just played Carentan V2 as the Germans. Finished the first three battles and the AI put up a halfway decent offensive. Even though it drove it's armor at first with no infantry escort. Now, I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem.. But after mission 4 the AI stopped. The Americans did not advance at all. They would go to this bend in the road where a hedgerow was and stopped. Now, I was the defender and it wasn't what I was ordered to do so I waited it out. 5 battle later the AI still did nothing but camp in this one spot. I would have loved to fight a bitter battle at Carentan against Allied paratroopers, but alas no. I managed to get a tactical victory (didn't even feel like I earned it). Are all campaigns like this while playing defender or as far as AI goes should I only be on the offensive or is there a download? Thanks in advance. - Guderian
Wally's World
The AI does a better job at defending rather than advancing. I think you'll find it more of a challenge if you take the attack role agains the AI.
MDA
if you're hiding/not visible to the AI, sometimes it will just sit on its hands - if this is the case, showing a unit or two will usually trigger an advance.

Tried that. I ended up losing a half-track in a scouting mission. The Allies advanced for a bit then decided they were lazy and Carentan wasn't really that important. Guess I'll just be sticking till attacking. - Guderian
