The error caused by these factors is on the part of the gunner, not the gun.Are you seriously suggesting that gunner error is responsible for environmental effects? flamingknives Posted January 7, 2005 Share Posted January 7, 2005 No, I'm saying that misses due to environmental effects are due to the gunner misjudging the effect the conditions will have on the shell. If the gunner correctly compensates for wind deflection (for example) He will be able to hit far more often with an accurate piece.
