How do I get my units to move?

Recommended Posts

select any unit (click on it), then press RETURN.

A menu will pop up and you can select any number of commands for that unit to perform.

Once you have given orders to all of the units you wish to, press the GO button (bottom Right) and the computer will generate a 1 minute movie of action where your units will attempt to follow the orders given.

On a Mac, you press SPACE. BTW, there's a hotkey for each command. Once you've learned them (most of them are pretty intuitive), you may find it easier and quicker to use those than pulling up the command menu all the time.

If you're playing on a PC then you need to left click the unit to get a box round it, then right click to bring up the orders menu.

As far as I remember if you look in the folder in which the demo is installed there should be a readme file which lists all the commands.

If this is your very very first time someone should mention the 'Go' button to the right. the first time you open the game you position your forces and hit GO.

THEN you issue move commands and once again hit GO.

THEN the computer computes and the 1 minute sequence starts, and the men move.

It's like most everything else, after you've done it the 3rd time it's totally natural.

1) Left click on the unit you wish to move

2) Hit the Space Bar to bring up the "Commands Menu"

3) Choose the movement type you wish to make by either left clicking on it, or using the hot key which is listed.

4) Trace the movement path you desire the unit to follow across the map and left click at the destination.

5) There should now be a colored line extending from the unit you chose to the destination, represented by a white block.

6) From here you can hit the space bar to give additional commands if you wish, or you can use the backspace if you have changed your mind about the move. (Hitting backspace removes the last plotted move.)

Hope this helps!
