XML RSS at Boots & Tracks

This must be an easy one, but what are the XML RSS lists at Boots & Tracks used for. I have had a look at them but do not know know the use for them.

Extract from site below:

The first feed syndicates this site's news. The second feed is for the true, hardcore scenario junkie. It propigates our scenario releases for anyone with an aggregator and an internet connection.

Could someone enlighten me?

Many folks use a "News Aggregator" to track these RSS enabled sites - they let you see if new content is on the site without having to visit it. There are many free News feeder programs - they are a good time saver - do a google search on "News Feeder" to find them.
