Kavy Posted April 20, 2008 Share Posted April 20, 2008 I have original cmbb AND a 'pirate' version. Neither installs correctly on my new vista home premium 64. It says the installation cant be found, and indeed it doesnt show on registry. Schrullenhaft Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 I don't think that CMBB (the BFC disc version) installs any settings in the registry. The installer isn't a typical 'windows installer' and therefore doesn't install registry data. I'm not very familiar with Vista, so I don't know the details. It sounds like you may need to launch the install program with a 'run as administrator' command (even if you are 'logged in' as an administrator). Do this by right clicking on the installer and selecting 'Run as Admin' from the pop-up menu. I believe you'll need to do the same when you run the patches. There may also be "issues" with where the program files get installed and "writing" saved games, etc. to those directories.
