dalem
Did a search but I can't see my specific problem. I have an XP machine and a physical router + cable modem + Comcast cable. port 7023 is properly forwarded on my router. that WinXP internal firewall crap is disabled. when I try to host or connect to a TCP game I get "Cannot connect to network" message from CM as soon as I enter teh IP and hit enter. The Ips are valid public side IPs. Is Comcast itself doing something odd nowadays? I use dto host TCP games in CM:BO all the time. -dale
Schrullenhaft
Where are you getting your IP addresses from ? Are you checking with What is my IP or some other utility ? I wouldn't assume that Comcast would be blocking the higher IP ports. I used to use their cable modem service a year ago and it worked then. Is your router's Port Forwarding rule for all DHCP assigned addresses or one in particular ?
