David I Posted January 1, 2005 Share Posted January 1, 2005 Enigma, According to Mitcham's "Hitlers Legions" the 98th Infantry Division was redesignated the 98th Volksgrenadier Division in January 1945 and served in the Alpennines and Po River Valley Campaigns of that year.
