band of brothers

Recommended Posts

In episode 9 of band of brothers there is a moment when German prisoners of war are marching and are flanked by american jeeps, carriers, ect.

Several german officers are in a carrige and one makes a few comments. Does any one know what he is saying? i imagine it has something to do the american mechanization but im not sure? anyone know?

This thread should be in the CMBO or General forum.

It's definately in Episode 9: "Why we Fight". Chapter 3, at about 28:17. I can't catch what the German officer mumbles, what David Kenyon Webster (the fictional version) has to say is, however, quite clear.

This must be something they just made up, because I have the book and there is no mention of them saying anything like what is said in the show; when they saw the captured Germans on the autobahn. It quotes Webster as saying that he couldn't get over how the Germans were now surrendering like "sheep".

Too much background noise for me, sorry.

Made up? Hollywood wouldn't do anything like that now, would they?

To All: I see that my taking a chance on an ironic comment WITHOUT a winking emoticon has induced backlash. Please include emoticons with such statements.

To Panzerman: You should take lessons in irony management from Rommel22.
