Brigadier
My thanks too all for your timely replies! I am ASTOUNDED at the number of mods available! Can anybody give me the quick and dirty version on what mods they think I should install/use? See I am afraid of conflicts crashing my game (if thats possible?). toodle pip and thanks!
Baetis
If i were you, i'd go get CMMOS. Its a little strange, you gotta dl a "ruleset" then install the mods for that rule set. Just go through the list and take what you want. Personally, i couldn't live without Captain Wacky's Gridded Terrains, but they don't make the game look any better, just easier to play. Edit: CMMOS keeps backups of the files the mods install, so you can always uninstall them if you wish. And i don't think you have to worry about conflicts. Panzertruppe
I you are modding CMBO then MDMP1 and MDMP2 is a good place to start because it brings CMBO graphics close to what CMBB is at. After those 2 mods its up to you to add what you like. These can be found at Combat Mission HQ.

Most mods are replacement BMP´s for the BMP´s that come with the game. You couldnt crash your game with them, as far as I know. If its a sound mod you change the standard WAV´s with new WAV´s. And dont forget : We are CMBorg. You will be assimilated.
