BeauCoupDinkyDau
Now what the hell is that? I'm sure my MG team is real happy about the 'cover' they are getting!
Bone_Vulture
As if you used an assload of artillery fire, just to pull up a smoke screen for the cover of a single MG...
BeauCoupDinkyDau
Well of course not bone head, but that's not the point! Look at all that cover, and that perfect strip from his tank to my team! In all the years I have played CM, I have never seen that happen! At least the rest of the rifle company was not within that strip!
Bone_Vulture
Mere coincidence. I've seen it happen on several occasions. What sort of artillery were you using?
BeauCoupDinkyDau
82mm, 6 tube (I don't remeber at what level it is organized). But you are corret, it's just a fluke. I just thought it was kinda funny. I've seen gaps before, but never a corridor with several puffs on either side!
Duke of Earl
Bonjour fellas, May I suggest the 'Kelly Solution'?... that is, make sure you give Mulligan a gold brick if you want the arty on target on time... Cordialement, Duke of Earl
Hans
Well it happens Once in the dreaded Grafenwohr as part of an exercise I smoked the entire impact area to ensure the target, a hill nicked named the "witches tit" was covered....covered the entire impact area and part of the post but NOT the witches tit which due to some atmospheric anomaly was not covered at all - that was using 2 x 155 battalions of smoke x 4 with the odd 4.2 thrown in....dang it was embarassing.
