Now that I know that its not the thread belongs in this forum. Anybody in England been to see this beast, and know any of the history behind it? John Kettler Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Sivodsi, The imagery is distinctly awkward from a running gear standpoint, but it looks like the original pattern running gear is still fitted, as opposed to the later T-54/55 type starfish pattern roadwheels. If so, it could be a war veteran, but not necessarily GPW. Plenty of T-34/85s in original GPW standard saw action all over the world.
