HarryInk
I'm reading about the early days and I'm starting to think: after CMAK, will BTS go just that little bit further and give us the 1939 & 1940 campaigns? Oh...all them Frenchie tanks...and the funny English ones...And don't them Dutch soldiers wear weird helmets. Why, you could even enjoy Polish cavalry charging Panzers!!?!
lcm1947
Bad time to ask many on this board if they'd like to play the fall of France but hey ........ No really it would be cool but I don't know how much fun it would be having cavalry charge German tanks, well unless of course I was playing the German's. Besides BFC can't do horses or realistic bazooka's for that matter.
Michael Dorosh
Yes, perhaps they can also do Manchuria, the Spanish Civil War, a fictional US vs USSR 1946 game, the war in the Pacific, including China, Burma and the Aleutians, plus every other pissant revolution, campaign and incursion between 1933 and 1953. Then we wouldn't need to bother sweating out the rebuild of the game engine, because it would simply never get done while waiting for all these other theatres to be researched, modelled and coded. Not to mention the lost income due to lost production time cranking out these (YAAWNNNN) high demand CM knockoffs. Where do I send my money?

Those plans may have changed though, as CM3 was originally thought to be made with the new engine. Well... Anyway, I suppose SOMETHING will be made with the CMX2 engine, unless they plan to sell it to CDV for making RTS, FPS and Lola games and retire to live in the French Riviera with all that money, unless Matt isn't allowed to board the plane because he just looks too scary and has to go to Acapulco, giving a bad reputation to all Yanks among the Méxicans. And while that something might be anything from Poltava to Basra, I think initially sticking to WW2 would be simplest, and as Pacific isn't very interesting, early WW2 would be the most logical next step. Or Riviera. I dunno. Maybe they should cancel CMAK to finish off the CMX2 and sell it with all the necessary tools as a "Tactical Wargame Developer's Kit", then start working on CMX3? They'd never have to make actual games again...
Webs
You wouldn't have to worry about bazookas or Panzerschreks or PIATs or anything like that in the Battle of France. There are only three real forces in the era: tanks, the 88, and aircraft. Everything else is just a target. (There are some effective light AT guns, but that's pushing it....)
HarryInk
Dear Board members ROTFLMFAO! Surely pissant revolutions will deserve attention?!! And the good game of the Spanish Civil War...exhaustively researched etc. etc. .... would suck in all the left over communists and socialists and anarchists with a hidden militarist streak to mix it with the ex-soldier types who haunt these forums. It'd make for fairly colourful if turgid and ultimately pointless wars of words. *VBG* Anyway, I'll duck any further replies....
