Lane
Saw a post about taking out Tiger Tanks. I admit very hard Made my own scenario up called Battle May 1945. Made a small map country, Flat terrain ,Modarate small groups Pine trees Not mutch for inf to hide. One Flag. A meeting engagment. Made my Axis Force 1234 points, One Airborne Fallschirmjager Company 2 King Tigers {PZV1B) and One ammo truck well hidden Set up Russian Airborn Company and some heavy armor 2 KV-1s Heavy tanks one IS-2 Modle 1944 Heavy tank.SU-85 Tank Destroyer. I even threw in a Serman Tank. Tigers rule the Battle Field, Wiped out all my Russian Heavy tanks. Shells bounce off them like ping pong Balls Then I switch to Russian side ADD 2 100MM BS-3 Antitank Guns in tree line near Map edge. Again Tigers got all my heavy armor But the Antitank Guns got the tigers but it took two or three rounds. Thats my tiger Hunt. Monty
Why a small map ?? Try next time a medium, or better a large map with a few more tanks. You can MANEUVER your forces unseen ,so you can try to flank the enemy forces (send a few tank hunter teams for scouting ). Using small maps with heavy tanks is boring ( my opinion )! RooT
best thing to hunt tigers with is pioneer plattons. with good leadership. 2 sqauds and a leader attacking the side of any tank is enough to take it out
