John Kettler
Gremlin, Much of your apparent confusion over the devices and weapons being described in your Panzerknacker translation can be cleared up by consulting/borrowing/buying a copy of Gander & Chamberlain's estimable work, WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH: An Encyclopedic Survey of all Small Arms, Artillery and Special Weapons of the German Land Forces 1939-1945, Dobleday & Company, Inc., 1979. See particularly Landmines, starting page 353, and Demolition charges, starting on page 360. It's not totally comprehensive (don't see Blendkorper 42, which is basically a smoke grenade in the form of a sealed glass flask, hence that warning!), but it should go a long way to helping you grok the Panzerknacker's toolkit. Hope this helps! Regards, John Kettler
