Sportsguy64
Guys, An idea for making this game mor fun - if you could take control of any unit during the play/movie phase, essentially lock on to any of your units and go "manual" so you are allowed to execute any command real time. An example: you click on "go" and then realize one of your tanks is in a tough position and the computer is not doing what you want so, you lock on and go Manual, kind of like panzerelite. I think this would be really cool! Probably be difficult to implement, but worth looking into. On another topic, the russians had some great ideas for smaller but hard hitting vehicles, like the T70 - Awesome little vehicle, I knocked out a panzer III with one! One other note, I thought german elite units did not surrender to russians, that was considered a fate worse than death. well, I captured an elite machine gun crew and then decided to bring up the flamethrower and fried'em - hey, in the briefing zhukhov says he wants no one AND nothing to escape! Anyway, thoughts on the new game mode and whether or not this is feasible would be welcome.

I like the current system and it adds to the fog of war of never knowing if you've made the right decision or not, just as it should be in my view.
Sportsguy64
Yes, I see your point however, it wouldn't really be cheating because both sides would have this opportunity and everything would be based on the players decision making process and ability to realize a serious situation or something that needs immediate attention. You would be allowed to do this with only one unit per turn otherwise, this would turn into a real time game. Just something I thought would be interesting to throw around.
JasonC
Real time strategy - isn't.
