chiavarm
I think the movement phase could be variable or conditional. Instead of just a one minute fixed setting, it could be set by each player where the lowest setting would become the end the movement phase. Another setting could be "Contact". The movement phase would continue until contact is made. This last setting would be very helpful in PBEM games where you spend a lot of time watching nothing but your troops moving into position. To prevent an endless loop you would need both. or a max time limit. [ March 18, 2005, 11:33 AM: Message edited by: chiavarm ]
junk2drive
Do you mean more than one waypoint? Or do you want the TacAI to figure things out as it goes along? Reading yet again I think you want a fast forward feature. You cannot know when contact will come. Soemtimes 10 turns, sometimes you get a surprise.

That is where the contact would come into play. If both players selects contact then movement would continue until that condition is met. Of course when the condition is met the other player would NOT KNOW contact was selected by the other player. chiavarm
In an effort to be clear: After you give your troops orders, instead of just pressing go, you could change the amount of time of the movement phase. Possible options would be 1,2,3..minute(s) or a conditional such as "contact".
junk2drive
Yes that would be nice when you are in a defensive position waiting and waiting.
